The present disclosure provides a method for processing a conductive structure. The method includes the following steps of: forming on a first surface a groove concave from the first surface towards a second surface by means of dry etching; extending the groove from the second surface to form a via through a silicon base; and processing a conductive structure within the via. The method can be applied to a silicon base having a thickness larger than 300 μm. It breaks the limit on thickness that can be processed in the related art and is capable of providing electrical connectivity on both sides of a silicon base. The method is simple and highly reliable, has high processing efficiency and is applicable to mechanized production.

An micro electro mechanical sensor comprising: a substrate; and a sensor element movably mounted to a first side of said substrate; wherein a second side of said substrate has a pattern formed in relief thereon. The pattern formed in relief on the second side of the substrate provides a reduced surface area for contact with the die bond layer. The reduced surface area reduces the amount of stress that is transmitted from the die bond layer to the substrate (and hence reduces the amount of transmitted stress reaching the MEMS sensor element). Because the substrate relief pattern provides a certain amount of stress decoupling, the die bond layer does not need to decouple the stress to the same extent as in previous designs. Therefore a thinner die bond layer can be used, which in turn allows the whole package to be slightly thinner.

The invention is a process and apparatus for separating the components of a multi-component gas stream comprising light and heavier volatility components with a variable composition. The process includes contacting the multi-component gas stream with a lean solvent in an absorber to produce a light component overhead stream and a rich solvent bottoms stream, flashing the rich solvent bottoms stream in at least a first, second and third reduced constant pressure of sequentially lower pressure wherein the released gas is compressed and a part is routed back to the absorber bottoms as stripping gas and a part is routed as a part of the heavier product stream. In this invention compressed vapor from the first or second reduced constant pressure rich solvent flash vessel is split by flow control between recycle routing to the absorber bottom stage as stripping gas and to the heavier product hydrocarbon stream, depending on the feed gas concentration of light component. The third and any additional flash vessels at sequentially lower pressure produce flash gas that is the remainder of the produced hydrocarbon product stream. The lean solvent remaining after the lowest pressure flash is routed back to the top of the absorber.

In a gravity fluid filtration system, upper and lower fluid reservoirs may be mated together. Unfiltered fluid may be supplied to the upper reservoir. One or more filters provide fluid communication between the upper and lower fluid reservoirs. Fluid may pass through the filters into the lower fluid reservoir. The weight of the fluid in the gravity filtration system may be monitored to maximize the fluid flow rate without loss of fluid by supporting the fluid reservoirs on a moveable platform interconnected to a stationary base by a force reactive linkage. Automatic fill components may be provided for automatically actuating a fluid supply valve connected to an unfiltered fluid source. As filtered fluid is withdrawn from the lower reservoir, actuation of the fluid supply valve to an open position may permit unfiltered fluid to be supplied to the upper reservoir. Supply of unfiltered fluid to the upper reservoir may be stopped upon actuation of the fluid supply valve to the closed position. Actuation of the fluid supply valve is a function of the weight of the fluid in the filtration system and/or vertical travel of the moveable platform.

A breathing circuit system for delivering gas from a fresh source to a user through a face mask. The system includes a cylindrical housing and a resiliently-biased valve supported substantially centrally within the housing. In the default or “off” position, the resilient bias causes the valve to be seated on a valve seat shutting off axial flow of gas through the valve housing. When the patient or user breathes, negative pressure is applied to one side of the valve effective to sufficiently overcome the resilient bias imposed on the valve to move the valve off the valve seat axially (or otherwise open in another direction) within the housing, thereby allowing flow of gas through both the valve seat and the valve housing, and into the breathing circuit connected thereto. When the patient's breathing pauses and begins to exhale, the valve bias returns the valve to its default or off condition shutting off flow of gas through the valve.
